Altruism
I should talk about the story “Holes” a little bit.
In the homework of today you are to refresh your brain with the book,
Holes.. or the film. 🎞️
Whatever you like, I being such a Shia LaBeouf girl. I like his voice, his smile, because honestly he makes me laugh, and cry, I like him alottle.
I will go by the movie, In the movie- we have KB WHO I RELATE TO YES. She is a school teacher who you can tell, is wanting to make the world a little bit better of a place who in fortune whether it be good or bad is the most attractive with her beauty and brains. She is the divine feminine, raising up little minds like a mother hen, wielding peach shmoosh. It’s all such a sexy thing to the populations of 1 rich man.
The beginning of the movie goes as this.. in short term because you all needs to familiarize yourselves neh’.
Stanley Yelnats great great great great Grandpa took a lovin’ to a woman of pure grace, he wished to wed the woman and professes his true love by dedicating his days to totin’ a pig up a mountain to a stream to have a drink of what-her 💧🌝and tote it back down again each day so that he can bring it to the lady he lovins’ . Some gypsy told him he had to do it and the wee little piggy would grow. His would need to compete with the hairy pig-man who had countless piggies that were buff. Anyways when the time comes and the pig and Stanley has eaten it’s wheaties, he is meant to be strong enough! To carry ‘Madam Zeroni’ up the mountain and let herr driink from the stream. The pig is meant to be large enough! To take the blondie, the farmers daughter from her father’s home and be wed. Now, or must I say.. ‘neh,’
May I remind you that this is Shia L..,nevermind, Stanley Yelnats great great great great great grandpa. He is no asshole!, he is a fetching young stout with having known little miss muffit for their entire lives, having both grown up as kids in love with her! And he has made a fortune. He is rich yes, but madly in love for her. He saught out a gypsy to find a way into Myra Menke’s heart. Oh, she was beautiful, but her head was full of giggles, too full, to realize how innocently smitten and true that man was for her. That the pigs end up weighing the same size? !! and her father lets her decide which man she will wed, she wants to flip a quarter! Stanley Yelnats the real OG, said “fuck this”, and took the dignity he had left, and went to mend his broken heart from little miss Myra Menke.
In the heat of this moment, where he had fortunes, and so much to be grateful for, he! Forgets! Madam Zeroni! And she withers away from him not having come back to carry !her! up the mountain and drink from the mystic waters and become strong, a hex is put on his and his families lives for such fortune 🔮. For generations to come. The gypsy puffs her pipe and rocks away in her rocking chair and Stanley forgetting her, rides far into the desert with his riches in the trunk of his covered wagon.
Neh, let’s just say.. there was a something else a brewin’ in the fates.
You guessed it!
Romance..
Love..
A tragic love affair.
Far back as far as women were made there were also a type of man I can call: pervy jackasses. Pervy jackasses are attracted to women like me and a woman that goes by the name of Kate Barlow. They are awful men that ruin anything that will not belong to them, rejects them, or reveals their true identity.
Stanley Yelnats (the great great great great great grandpa) although bummed out from little miss muffits rejection leaves her with her decision .. meh ungracefully and also ungratefully to Madam Zeroni in his heated emotion, but all the same goes about his business and seeks no revenge or takes no control to sway her reluctance to recognize a good man when she sees one. Just says, “fuck this, and I’m out.”
Far acrossed the desert there had been the romance that all the fools like me would love. Yep, let’s talk about him. Sam, the onion man. Sam was a beautiful black man with all the manners and masculinity any woman could ask for. He being the man with the all ail curing onion, and her being the dreamy woman with delicious juicy peaches were star crossed lovers in a small town who had never seen anything like this before.
The rain beats down on the tin roof of her old school tin top roof and as it begins to leak, Sam says, “I can fix that.” They agree for an exchange. Her peaches, his onions. Now, her peaches, his handy work. He mends the roof and hangs around a little while after to see and speak with her after the children have gone on home.
Neh, pervy jackasses usually come loaded with power, sway, and yep.. money. When the man that basically owns the town sees such beauty, he has to have that thing. For no other reason but for himself. In front of Sam, who is packing up for the day asks Kate out on a date already getting fresh. She declines. He is shocked. She looks uncomfortable. He presses. She stands her ground. He wants to buck. But Sam is nearby. He leaves. She cries. Sam say, “I can fix that, too!”
The entire story of Holes in the film, seeings how it has been so long since I have read the book myself.. is perfectly made. It has all of the makings to take the cake of my favorite film for all time.
I could really talk a long while about it, and in which case if I watch it again any time soon or later, will write about it some more. ! I had so much to say while watching it in recent days that I had to begin a conversation.
What is your example of a perfectly fated film, or book?
In the end, I won’t talk about it in this conversation just for those who are going to watch it for the first time.. aside from saying- that everything ends up so balanced and harmonious that all the hands of fate had something to do with the mess of it all!
Never forget to go back for Madam Zeroni! No matter what the outcome of your endeavor.
I relate to every aspect of this movie, and it heals me in places I have long kept silenced. I have only mentioned but a few details of the storyline that matters so much to me.
I rarely can pick one single favorite thing, I am dynamic that way.
Holes is the best movie to come back to over any amount of time of not seeing it and watching it all over again. And still being my favorite by far.
I could pick any other wide expanse of films. Lol. And I choose this one. I want to come back to it and decide what makes it this good to me!
